Company history

Founded in 1996 by one of Scandinavia’s leading off-line casino operators, Net Entertainment was one of the pioneers in online gambling.

The company was formed in response to the growing online market with the purpose of becoming an online casino operator. As no suitable commercial casino solution could be found, the decision was made to develop the required software in-house. The first casino was launched in 2000 and was subsequently followed by another four. In 2002 the CasinoModule™ was released and shortly thereafter the first sportsbook licensee was signed up. In January 2005 the internal casinos were sold off and Net Entertainment became a pure software development company.

Net Entertainment is today a market leader in browser based gaming software and well over 40 well known online operators use the CasinoModule™. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden and all development is made in-house. Net Entertainment is a public company listed on the Nordic Growth Market, NGM Equity.
